I have received many private e-mail requests to post details of
my complete procedure to improve Dec drive performance. I
spent twice as long writing about it as it took to do the work.

Some of my procedure naturally relies on checking and adjusting
the Dec drive itself which, as Ric pointed out, is covered on Doc G's
web site. So, rather than repeat was has been well covered, Doc G
will edit and combine my entire detailed procedure along with pictures
I took with any necessary references and possible changes to his
procedure.

In this way, if I've overlooked something that is critically important,
or should have more explanation, I trust Doc G will find my error
and we will correct it before posting on his web site. In addition,
Doc G can modify his recommendations, if necessary, to reflect
the effects of the new modifications.

Hopefully, when we have all the errors and omissions worked out,
Ed Stewart will post the final (abridged) version on his fine MAPUG
Topical Archives site, but for now, Doc G has my final draft and
illustrations.
