I have been experimenting with the 201 and ETX guidescope system, and wonder
if Mr. Tabbutt or anyone else can advise re: the relative merits of the above
setup, which would seem to preclude the use of a Barlow, and mounting the
autoguider using the 1-1/4" nosepiece and a Barlow--I believe in
theory the higher mag would offer some advantages when used with the
f/10 with 6.3 reducer on the main scope. Has anyone had enough experience
with this setup to offer an opinion? The barlow also reduces the brightness,
which is a negative tradeoff, but has guiding in practice been better with
magnif. or without?
