Absolutely right.

Dennis di Cicco has many published CCD images (I located 9) taken with
his 16" LX200 but I am not sure if he uses a de-rotator.

The only other originator of CCD images taken with the 16" LX200 I could
locate is Jack Newton. See the tricolour image of M27 in S&T Dec. '97
p.125 taken with the inimitable Pictor 1616xt :). The exposures here
were 5min r 20min g 20min b so if Jack is using the de-rotator then the
flat field issue does seem to be a practical concern. It's a shame Jack
doesn't participate in MAPUG given his successes with the 416xt/1616xt
cameras. Can anyone persuade him? :)
