While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hello everyone, I hope your holidays have been as joyous as mine have.

Even though my dad said he'd look at and try to fix my mount, he didn't get
around to it so I still don't have a working mount. Over my winter break I
got a decent job with my mom's friend and made a decent sum of money. I am
debating on whether to just save up a little more and get a whole new
mount. Chances are I will just send my current mount to Meade and have it
fixed, but I am asking one more time for a list of different mounts. I am
looking for mount in the range of $1,000 or less that will keep objects
centered on my CCD chip for at least a minute when properly aligned. From
what I've seen on the lists, starfinder's mounts don't do much over he
30-45 second range. If anyone know where I can get a mount like this please
let me know.

Thanks and I hope everyone has a wonderful 1998!
