Whoa, that's a good and simple idea! I don't have my basement workshop
really set up yet, but I might push it for that one. On the scope end, a
simple circuit with an LED driver and reciever powered by the scope should
suffice. On the keypad end, a battery and a matching TX/RX circuit should
do it. No intelligence needed, and you get to use your existing keypad.
Hmmmmm...... I'd bet that all necessary stuff is off the shelf at Radio Shack.
However, a simple circuit like that could be a problem if there was more
than one at a star party...... I can imagine the scene now. "Hey! Who
just slewed my scope off target and blew a 60 minute exposure!"
