Gene -- While at the hardware store (or a radio shack) you may want
to consider an electronic remote reading temperature indicator.
Inside my "bag" I have the sensor of an old Heathkit indoor/outdoor
electronic thermometer mounted on the LX 200 base. The cable runs
along with my other wires through PVC conduit into my indoor PC
station, where I can then readout the LX 200 temp just by raising my
eyeballs up to the indicator shelf above my PC monitor.
While writing this the sun just poked out from behind the clouds for
the first time in 4 days. You brought us some good luck!<g>!
