While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hello everyone, I got my byers gear/motor friday and got it installed
yesterday. I have a couple questions:

1) I have the motor plugged in and eveything but the telescope isn't
moving. Everything seems to be hooked up wright. Is this the clutch plate?
How tight does it need to be?

2) When I turn the scope one way, the nothing happens with the gears. When
I turn it the other way, the part where the motor and worm are moved down
slightly. Is this normal? If not, what could be wrong?

Thanks

Jacob Thumberger
