FWIW, I find myself frequently (as frequently as weather permits anyway) in a
position with an SCT that a 45 deg. would be perfect for. I must admit that I
probably wouldn't want one bad enough to spend the dough on though.

| Because there is no wide need for one. When refractors and
| Cassegrains are pointed up you are usually already bending
| over to look through the 90 degree diagonal. The 45 degree
| diagonal would mean laying on your back or doing the limbo
| to reach the EP.
