While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

My understanding of this is that the only difference in Guide speed vs the
other speeds is that when pressing the "E" button all that happens is that
the RA (azimuth) motor is simply turned off. This is probably a good thing
in polar mode (stopping the motor lets the Earth's rotation "move" the
field) but in altaz mode it means the motion is not in the opposite
direction to the "W" key as you might otherwise expect.
