Remember, though, that the accuracy of the clock isn't particularly
important if you use 2-star or polar alignment. The clock isn't even used
after you get aligned except for the planets; and they don't move very far
in a few minutes.

Yes, you just send it the appropriate command (":SL").
I found a little program "LX200 Time Sync V1.0.3" that does this. (This is
a Mac program. There doesn't seem to be a PC version. It seems to be an
early version of the commercial "Stars and Scopes"; see
