Why not just have a cable that goes thru the RA axis and gets twisted up a
little? The existing software prevents rotation more the 360 degrees so
that ought to be sufficient to keep the twisting to an acceptable level.
A better solution is probably to have everything above the RA axis like the
Celestron Ultima 2000. There would then be only one remaining connector to
the power supply that needs to twist. A slip ring ought to work for that.
Or just let the cable twist up since the user can easily untwist it when
necessary.
