Hi All,

I'm not sure how old my 8" LX200 is, I bought it second hand, but it has
a very old rom version (2.50-2.51S) in it. I would like to upgrade to
the 3.34 version, but I was told I would not only need the new ROM's but
a new mainboard too. In that case it would be a very expensive upgrade.
Comparing my mainboard with a new one on a picture in a Meade Catalogue
I can't see any differences.

I would like to know;

1) Do I really need a new mainboard; who has had experiences with the
same problem?

2) Are there differences between the old and the present mainboards?

3) If there are differences, would it be possible to modify the old
board to fit the new rom's (2 pins more?)?

4) If you order new rom's / mainboard, do you have to return the
older one's?

5) Who could provide me with two (one of each side) very sharp color
slides of a modern mainboard?

Who can help me or give me some advice?
