Well, it might be raining but at least I'm keeping busy!
I've spent 3 days building a colour filter wheel, pictures are shown at
the bottom of the LX200 page listed below.
Having taken on board the fact that filters for colour CCD imaging need
to be in exactly the same plane I've made a compact conventional filter
wheel. When screwed onto the end of my filter-slider/slide prism
attachment the total backfocus is still only a modest 2-1/4". It's
manually operated, a single full turn of the indexing knob rotates the
next filter into place, a spring-loaded ball detent snaps it exactly in
position. A window on the rear face shows which filter is currently in
position. Both the filter wheel and rotator run in ball bearings.
I would like to motorise the indexing, it would only need a small geared
motor and a contact breaker working from the detent. Anyone know the 4
pinouts from the 416XT to the Meade CFW?
