I dont know if anyone else caught this but the NEAR spacecraft will flyby
the earth (and specifically the US) on Thursday at 10:45pm PST from the
west. The solar panels are deployed and the spacecraft should be visible
with the naked eye.
Im not sure exactly where in the west we should look. NASA didnt
indicate any direction nor did they post any orbital data.
Its worth a try anyway! Good luck!
