I finished an observatory this summer for my LX200 12" and am LOVING.. IT.

>From my experience, a DOME is better wind and stray light protection, but if
you are planing on entertaining (Having friends, cub scouts, and
particularly novice around), a roll off roof will be more hospitable and
prevent alot of head banging.
