While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I know a lot of you are going to see the eclipse, probably (so hey, I
procrastinated!) including myself.

It would be nice if we all knew where each other were going to be, in case
there isn't a rental car when there should be or whatever. Also, a nice row
of coffee-grinding LX200s would be nice. ;-)

Maybe someone has extra piggyback room on their mount, or a better camera lens
to lend someone, or better info about a good site. Let's find out.

If the weather on Aruba turns bad, I figure knowing who's on which ship might
come in handy ;-)

I don't want to bog down the list with people exchanging personal eclipse
plans as it approaches, as happened with Comdex participants, so I'll
volunteer to be a clearinghouse for this information.

I'll make a separate little mailing list of eclipse goers for this purpose,
but it won't be a majordomo list where everyone can post straight to it.
Instead, just send me your request to be included on a list I'll set up a
little AOL mailing list for remailing stuff people send to me privately. I
may or may not break it into 3 categories, depending how big it gets:

All (including Cruises, Aruba, Antigua, mainland, etc.)
Cruises
Aruba

which list, if any, you want to be on if I do split it up. It's also fine if
you want to correspond with me, without me remailing it, if you want to keep
your plans secret from others. Just put "Private" or "Eclipse List" in the
Subject line of each email.

DO NOT hit the reply button and send your answer to MAPUG, please!

Thanks.
