No, I don't have any "tooth chatter" on my scope, which is pretty new.
BTW, I'm using a program called ECU (Earth Centered Universe) on my notebook attached to the LX200. It's a planetarium
program, and when hooked up allows you literally to point (with mouse) and click to move the scope to a given star, planet,
deep sky object, etc. Much handier than looking up star numbers, etc., in the LX200 manual. Try

There are several other such programs (Software Bisque's The Sky is the best known). But they're expensive; ECU is only $50
and is quite adequate for my purposes.
