You could use a clockspring contact. they are used at the steering wheel on
cars to connect the air bag and horn. It is a ribbon type cable wound up like
a clockspring to allow the wheel to turn. it would be fairly simple to
implement the only problem being the need to limit the amount you could turn
the scope in R.A.
