While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

My new 8" Lx200 is possessed, every so often at least once a session it
will move in RA (east & west both) on it's own. When it does the meter
will almost be pegged. On most occasions it will move several degrees
and then stop but the motors seem to be under load pegging the meter for
several seconds before stopping. My alignment is lost and my nerves are
shot waiting for the thing to burst in flames. If anyone has had similar
experiences or suggestions on how I might exorcise these spirits from my
scope please help. In spite of all these troubles I would really hate
sending it back to Meade so soon.
