I just used my Kendrick for the first time and like the setup. Very neat installation and I'm happy so far. Was a fairly dry night, so I haven't seen "extreme" conditions yet, but I have great faith in it.
For control, the Rob Roy joystick works great with mittens, so for just moving the scope around it makes life easy.
Our club newsletter (Texas Astronomical Society "Spectrum") just had a great article from one of the members about clothing. In short, layers, with Polar Tec fabric being recommended. Can't address the heated clothing thing though. FWIW, lots of places are starting to have good clearance sales on their cold weather gear; I grabbed a bunch of stuff from REI at a great price this weekend.

'Tis better to give than to receive. I'll send my address to you. Ship it to me as soon as you can... ;)
