While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

This last Sat.was the first time I have been able to get out since replacing
the motherboard, ra & dec motors, on a 10in LX200. When I tried to use scope
in polar mode it would begin to offset polaris, (motor would run for
approxamatley 1 second) then stop. I tried six different times always the same
results. The scope worked flawlessly in alt-az. Before I make a call to Meade,
can anyone make a suggestion as to what to check? All time, date, long & lat,
and gmt offset, have been correctly entered. Help PLEASE.
