While you're here, how about checking out the

Hi Rick
I have an LX-50, 201XT and the Meade OAG and as of today still haven't had
it working together. In discussions with Meade there are several problems
involved.
1. The cable that connects the 201XT to the scope. Meade informs me that
the cable MUST MUST MUST be the flat grey cable. Any other cable that may
have come with the 201XT may cause problems. It has now been replaced.
2. The dec motor over-corrects and the image moves off the chip during
calibration. Meade is now sending me a new upgraded dec motor and chip
(rev. 6.0) which will stop this over-correction.
Because of these problems the 201XT would not calibrate at all. Hopefully
we'll be up and running in two weeks provided Meades back order on these
new dec motors gets filled this week.
That said, try your illuminated reticle in your OAG and see how far your
guide star moves through the FOV before it disappears. Your FOV may not be
great enough. I had to tweak my prism to get the max. FOV possible. I
didn't realize how small it was until I tried moving a star through dec and
seeing it disapear before it got to the edge of the percieved FOV.
Hope this helps some.
