While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

If the bubble is almost, but not exactly, in the black circle, and
perpendicular to one leg of the tripod (meaning that you'll have to fiddle
with two legs), grab that leg and move it away from the bubble. I learned
this from my kids who are deep into cameras and tripods. It won't work if
you have to move it so far that the spreader will move it back when you
tighten down the scope.
