Ok, guys, I probably shouldn't be talking about this, but here's what a
good friend of mine did (I know this story first hand):

He wanted to purchase a 12" LX200 with some goodies, superwedge etc.
Total cost in the US: around $11'000. If he bought the same equipment
in the country he lives in he would have paid around $19'000. So here's
what he did: He made a nice trip, prearranged all orders over the
internet with a very friendly store, flew over, picked up the scope and
spent two weeks checking everything out. Including the flight, customs,
and travel costs, it cost him $14'000. Nice deal!

Now, this guy has an address in the US (at a friends house). How is
Meade going to refuse warranty service? If you live in the US and your
company sends you abroad and you take your scope with you, can you lose
warranty in such a case? I don't think so!
