While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?




I have a problem with my 8" LX200 where the declination drive has a mind of
its own. When I power up the scope the declination motor is spinning but
the scope remains still. The declination knob is moving slightly. I
tried unplugging the keypad but no change. I also had another case where
the scope would start-up and the declination will be at full speed and
out of control. I heard people of similar problems. Are there any clues
as to what I can do to fix the problem. Thanks.
