While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Hi every one,
I think this list is a great help to people like me who are new to
the hobby .
I have have had a 201XT for sometime ( supplied with the 416 ) and
have finally got around to try to use it with my ETX mounted on my 10"
LX200 . While the 201 seems to be able register a guide star's
brightness & location the calibration routine is not working . Can
some body tell me what the cable pinout should be ? the one I was
supplied with is flat grey unlike the black coiled cable shown in the
manual , close inspection shows that on of the six wires is not
connected . The pin out shown in the manual for the 201XT differs fron
m the pin out for the "CCD" plug in my lx200 manual . Can anyone tell
me if the cable is "straight Thru"ie pin #1 of one end connected to
pin #1 of the other end etc , or otherwise .
Also if anyone is using the ETX/201 combination how are you attaching
the 201 to the ETX ? I am using an adapter but am wondering about it's
length .
Any comments would be appreciated .
Thanks guys ,BTW I agree with some of the threads re manuals - the LX
200 ( I have had for 4 years ) is quite good , the pictor manuals are
quite bad .
