While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I got lost in the archives and could not find the definitive answer to this...

My 416 will control the LX-200 electric focuser when I select autofocus,
when the 416 is connected to the LX-200 via the flat cable (rs232). But,
autocenter, mosaic, and goto complain that the serial port isn't connected
on the laptop. So, what is the scoop...do I move the serial cable back and
forth between the laptop and the 416 to control LX-200 functions? Or can
that "second" serial port on the LX-200 (it's documented on Doc's site) be
used to connect to the laptop...

Thanks in advance, folks. I appreciate it.
Gene Stratton
