While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Kevin is right in his assessment of the situation with Pictorview versions 6.43 and
earlier.
The new 6.44 release (which should be available Monday or Tuesday, I will post here when
I see it available) allows for a ini file switch to change the autofocus from being done
with a Pictor Control box to LX200 connection to a computer to LX200 connection. This
means that using this option, you can have autofocus, autocenter, and automosaic without
swapping rs-232 lines. It does mean that if you connect serial to the Pictor that you
need a second serial connection to connect to the LX200. If you are using SCSI, then
you can use one serial port for all the 'auto' features.
