Not sure whether the question was actually answered above, but just in
case.....

Hitting GOTO during a slew will abort the slew. It will not destroy the
alignment unless you were in transit to an HPP alignment star. In that
case, the scope will think that the current location is the location of the
alignment star.

However, seems that alignment can be re-established by slewing manually
(unlocked) or electrically to a known object, selecting that object from
the library, and then performing a SYNC without a GOTO.
