While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
I can't say about your experiences, Chris, but I can assure you that my
collumation gets off on a regular basis. I find that I am adjusting or
tweaking my scope nearly every time I use it, and I also have a 10" LX-200.
But different curcumstances for different people, I guess.

I can't understand why you need to play with the collumation of an SCT so
often
as you imply. You should only have to adjust it once and it should stay set
for the life of your scope. In fact I never had to colluminate my 10" LX200,
it
was as close to perfect, as far as I could see, right from the factory.
Unless
you severly jar it it should stay set forever.
