Sorry, I do not know about the 7" Mak. However, I do know that a typical small
fan takes about 1 to 2 watts. At 12 volts that would be about 100 mA. or so.
I simply measured the voltages at the terminals and found only 5 volts at one of
the terminals to ground. The rest of the voltages seemed to be logic inputs. This
would make sense if the port were originally designed for encoders. They typically
take 5 volts to power them and deliver logic level signals.
