While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

In the recent thread on observatories, someone mentioned a substance
they used to clean rust from tripod legs or other metal parts of a
scope. The substance was cited as used to remove rust from electrical
circuit boards or electrical equipment. What was the substance?
