While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book

Hello MAPUG,
The MBCAA software for the management of astronomical images and
catalogs is available. It is especially useful for comparing
astronomical images, and to match them to astronomical catalogs. The
main features of the software allow you:
-to view astronomical images, displayed with celestial and galactic
axes, and to print them;
-to find out the coordinates of an image by comparing it with
astronomical catalogs;
-to identify features on images from astronomical catalogs. To highlight
those features by digitizing them;
-to match different images of the same area of the sky with each other;
-to manage astronomical images and catalogs from a database. Images can
be quickly retrieved by keywords or by their contours on a sky map;
-to associate files with any image, catalog, astronomical object and
retrieve them automatically;
-to drive a Meade LX200 telescope.
Check http://www.micronet.fr/~mbond for more details. Free copies of
the software are available for those who are willing to improve the
product by their suggestions and comments.
Regards,
Michel Bond
