For what it may be worth, I have never had a problem with the RA running
slow apart from that related to the periodic error of the worm.

I have a series 5 chip and v1.5 Mag II fimware. I have heard of more people
having problems with the series 6 chip and v2.x firmware than the previous
versions. I don't think I shall be upgrading just yet!
