While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Hi Mapuggers!
I have a Meade Starfinder Newtonian 8" f/6 and have just
recently updated to 1.25" eyepieces UWA 14, UWA 6.7 & SPL
32.
I´m looking for two recommendations:
1) The standard focuser that came with the telescope (rack
& pinion) is out-of-focus by itself in some positions,
specially when the heavier eyepiece is used. Fine
adjustments are a little bit difficult too.
Shall I try a different design? Which one would you
recommend? Could a new focuser cause some problems in
the telescope performance?
2) I'm getting crazy with the counterweights, because every
time I change eyepieces my telescope is out of balance.
Some suggestions for a fast and reliable method for
balancing?
Thank you in advance and greetings from Peru!
