OK, so let's all try the procedures posted earlier and report the results
here. Then we can pick someone to "officially" ie by phone report the
summary to Meade.
Here's a copy of the procedure to try:
power up (at a local time when RA=0 is above the horizon)
CNGC 7743 ENTER GOTO (wait for the beep)
MODE NEXT ENTR (object library menu)
NEXT NEXT ENTER (enter FIELD mode)
N (or any other key)
At this point your scope may crash or may respond very slowly to inputs.
Please report your model and serial numbers and your ROM level.
Also, it has been reported that the above only works if the CNGC mode is
set to NGC. I'm sure Meade would like to hear some more reports on this
point.
