While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
The last couple of releases have supported automosaic for telescopes responding
to the Meade telescope interface commands.
Suggestions:
1. Make sure that the focal length of your telescope is accurately set in the
FOV option under File. (This is required so that the system knows the area of
the chip. Make sure you correct this for any focal reducers or projection
options you are using.)
2. Center the area you want mosaicked.
3. Remember that the mosaic algorithm starts in the SE corner and snakes through
the images going up to the top image, west, down to the bottom image, west, up
to the top image, etc.
I suggest trying it on the moon first just to verify that all is working. Use
analog binning to speed things up when testing.
