It worked fine for me last summer when I tried exactly this
shot. I only fired up a 3x3 and wish I'd done more. It
was way cool to fire it off and just stand back. I
did take a flat field on the twilight sky knowing that
I wanted to match edges as best as possible. I think this
helped. You can see the result at <http://surf.to/Brewster>.
Scroll to the bottom, and click on "M31". This is my favorite
picture at this time...
