While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I had the unfortunate experience of falling asleep and my scope getting
caught in the rain for a couple of hours. (The weather man lied)
I have dried it as best I could, put WD40 on the threads, ports and a few
screws that were rusting and opened up the control panel and cleaned it
with contact cleaner. I only saw a single drop of moisture on the in
side of the lens, so I haven't tried to do any thing about that yet, nor
Have I tried to open the dec covering. Anyone who has gone thru similar
trauma have any suggestions as to what else I shold do or check before I
try to fire up the system again? How well do the LX200's hold up to the
environment? Thanks.
