While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Gee, isn't there a N/S switch on the control panel of your monitor. Right
next to the power switch? Seriously, though, if your monitor has a
deflection yoke with only two wires tot he orizontal sweep section, you
could try reversing them. No guarantees..... I have never tried this. I
do have about five 12V monitors I scored a while ago, so I could try it
without risking too much. If time permits.....

Hmmmmm..... I used to think that until I tried it. Boy, was I surprised!
Certainly on Lunar stuff, I vastly prefer the view at the monitor.
Resolution with my CCD video camera is as good as at the eyepiece, and
using the brightness and contrast controls, I can do some simple "real time
processing" and get a view that is way better than at the eyepiece. And it
is much less tiresome at the monitor compared to at the eyepiece.
