I asked the same question when I had Meade upgrade mine from the base
version to the 'XT'. To the best of my recollection, the answer from the
rep at Meade was (and I quote) "The XT works". Never really used it much
after the upgrade so I can't comment on performance.

BTW, I still have the 201XT and no real need for it now that I have my ST-7.
Perhaps we can talk...
