While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
I also priced out wire and did some calculations. Buy the heaters, but build
the controller. If you still want wire, one place I found was Amp-something,
but I can't find the page now. It was a small web site, but gave a phone number
to request a catalogue. As far as what wire to use, figure out what power you
want and the voltage you plan to use, and the length of the wire. From that
calculate the resistance needed. Alternatively Kendrick publishes the amps that
his heaters draw full on (he calls them amp hours, but I'm pretty sure he means
amps) and you could size acordingly.

I priced out all the parts and decided that I should buy the Orion Dew
Zapper instead.
