I'm using the Starlight Xpress MX5-C with the ETX. It can be used
through the normal eyepiece port, or through the photo port with Meade's
T-adaptor - the thread on the T-adaptor screws into the MX5-C's Pentax
M42 thread a couple of turns (don't force it too far because it's not
quite a Pentax fit). Use the short tube and you get a wider field of
view and the CCD chip is so small it doesn't see the vignetting.
You can fiddle with the position of the eyepiece to make it parfocal
with the camera (you'll need a short extension tube) and then you can
use the flip mirror to switch to the camera, and it'll only need a small
final adjustment.
The ETX doesn't match any CCD too well, you need about 16 pictures to
image the moon, and Jupiter and Saturn are a bit on the small side on
the CCD. If you do the calculations I believe you'll find the Nyquist
sampling is all wrong, but this doesn't stop it producing pictures :)
You could also piggyback your CCD using the ETX as a guide scope. A
camera telephoto lens will image M42 for example.
