While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
I would go to the archives and check the info out there. I built, using resistors
and (expensive) Radio Shack components, Dew Heaters made out of resistors wired in
various combinations of parrallel and series for my:
1. 5" Refractor objective
2. 90mm Guidescope objective
3. 8x30 finderscope
4. Adjustable eyepeice heater
with all cables, wiring, connectors, resistors, 4 way homemade distribution box and
the selectable power box controller (which adapts 12v to 12v, 9v, 6v and 4.5 v
selectable) all for about $50 which can be a lot less if you shop around for the
stuff. That is the price of one commercial heater without the controller.
All the info to make this is in the archives.
