While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

The 416 and 1616 have 9 micron pixels (in the unbinned modes). The images are
756 x 512 for the 416. If you are blowing the image up to 8 x 10, we can assume
that there are 756 pixels in 10 inches or 75.6 dpi. This is the best you can do
with the camera

However, you can resample the image to be say 2000 x 1000 and have 200 dpi but
you have not added any information but you might have a better image that if you
let the photoshop just enlarge it.

An alternative to get higher resolution is to use a Hubble telescope technique.
Namely, shoot a number of images of the same object, resample each and then to a
merge using one of the stars as a reference point. Because of slight variations
you will get better images than merging then resampling.
