While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

At 06:22 PM 1/25/99 GMT, you wrote:

Lawrence: The problem is that the GSC doesn't go faint enough in many parts
of the sky and isn't complete anyway. There are two solutions that I have
tried. One is to use the Real Sky with Guide and the other is to download
part of the USNO 2.0 from the Lowell observatory that matches your ccd image.

Are you aware of the mplist? If not go to: http://www.bitnik.com/QHO

see the message below.

"One thing I learned at home, on those nights at home, I learned how to use
a telescope and how to find objects in the sky.
You don't do that by going to a bar and drinking beer"

I am including a message from Bruce Koehn at Lowell about the USNO 2.0:

Date: Mon, 25 Jan 1999 14:41:06 -0700 (MST)
Subject: USNO-A2.0 back on-line
Content-Md5: OdZcZq51ye4A/4gbLR9rww==

The USNO-A2.0 catalog is back on-line at

http://asteroid.lowell.edu/cgi-bin/koehn/webnet

Another hard/software failure brought the service down.
But it has been fixed.

Regards,
Bruce

I hope all of this makes sense. It is more than a bit cut up. Sorry.
