While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

With all this discussion regarding the cooling efficiency of the 416 XT
with a fan I am wondering how significant is a 5-10 degree cooler (with
fan) camera body temperature. What is most affected by the lower
temperature, the capture of light or generation of noise (snow). I know
that the cooler the camera the better but what does that actually translate
to in terms of image quality, time of exposure or ability to capture light.
For instance does 2 degrees cooler chip temperature mean you can capture a
fainter magnitude star at a given exposure. Does anyone care to comment?

Please?
