That's EXACTLY what I had conceived of doing, JDK! One of the main objectives is
a kit that will fit in the fork housing using existing holes. It will be able to
rotate fully in DEC by leaving the DEC lock loose. The control box will be my
own flavor that will utilize a more powerful processor & also translate LX200
commands thus by passing the Magellan-II (sorry!) controller. I'll address RA
problem later (hopefully with similar assembly) but for now concentrate on what
I think is the real let-down for LX50 owners who want to use all the cool PC
software out there. I appreciate everyones prompt replies and any other input
you may have. I'll keep y'all posted on progress once get the design done.
