Feel the same when I had tried to show some interesting objects to not inititated people.
The best thing to do with the LX200 is to change internal parameters and ask to point object brighter than 9 mag (or less).
Thus way you only get most accessible objects and good examples to start.

Hoping for a resource or idea contributions......
Last night we had marginal viewing, but took the scope out for some neighbor
kids to look though.... Realized that I had a rather limited list of objects
for them to appreciate ... M42, moon...lots of other objects require a deeper
appreciation or more experience to get into.
Was hoping for suggestions to either access a list or build a list of objects
for super casual observing....ideas would be appreciated.
