While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Thank you for your reply. I quite agree with your comments. Actually I have
no problem sending the boards and motors back. I just do not want to send
any items or parts away if the problem stands little or no chance of
success. I admit that it is difficult for Meade to offer help without seeing
the problem, I was hoping someone here might have solved the same sort of
problem already and offer some reassurance that the Meade service pack is
the way to go.

Hi Andrew,

My experience with sending things back to Meade is they want to test
everything so they can be certain that what they send back to you is not the
cause of your problem. I have had two circuit boards replaced in the past
two years, but they still checked all the moving parts just the same.
